A glance back at the WETI Alumni Symposium 2026
On 25 March 2026, Flensburg University of Applied Sciences became a meeting place for alumni, students and wind energy experts: the WETI Alumni Symposium 2026 brought academia and industry together in an intensive dialogue.
The focus was on current research projects by young scientists and insights from alumni who are now working in the field. This combination of new ideas and industrial experience impressively demonstrated how knowledge transfer in the field of wind energy works.
The symposium made it clear that:
- Intergenerational exchange enhances skills and broadens perspectives
- Collaboration between universities and industry is key to innovation
- The energy transition needs precisely such networks
The event was supported by the State Competence Centre for Energy Transition Research (EKSH), the State Fund for Energy Transition Research, and the Flensburg University of Applied Sciences Alumni and Support Association.
